  • I use XARA 3D 6. CorelDraw to make custom templates such as the one below:



    This was our previous clan avy before we reinvented ourselves so to speak. Much hard work went into this though. The current IK avy uses a stock template from XARA. All you have to do is load any texture to it. The secret to making it perfect is applying a background color close to the forum's background as you can before exporting it as a .gif. I usually use a screencapture program to cut a piece of the actual background of the forum and import it as a texture to the background. This way i know it's perfect. I save it with a transparent background, but even so you'll still see the background color around the edges due to aliasing. You know you did it wrong when you see "sparkles" around the edges as your logo animates.

    When you're ready to make one, let me know and I'll walk you through it in more detail.

  • Thanks for the heads up on that. I have been messing with fireworks, working on some new logo's but I might find a use for Xara. :wink:
