  • My scroll wheel is going out again on me....this is the 2nd G9 I've owned. Great mouse, but with all the crazy tranzing I do, they only last for a year before the wheel gets loose. It makes me float when I over rotate by accident. I decided to take it apart today and see if I could fix it. The tension spring was very weak from all the cyber abuse. I reshaped it to firm it up a bit. It might get me a few more months out of it.

  • I have the G9x too, best mouse I ever owned for gaming but you're absolutely right, with all the tranzing we do, it does not last long, also the G9x have a small problem with the connection between the wire and the mouse, it's gets weak after a while but again we play hard too lol, I'm on my second G9x and I already opened the mouse twice to solder the connection and enforce it. In a couple of months I'm gonna need another one.

I'm just curious did anyone tried the Cyborg R.A.T. 9 mouse? it's looks like it came out from the movie Transformers lol.

  • Hey guys....I know a few of you have the Logitech G9x, so I have some news for ya. Logitech, for some reason, is discontinuing them. They're putting all their hopes into their G700s Gaming Mouse. From what I can see, the G700s is getting terrible reviews and most gamers prefer the G9x. I'm going to buy a couple here soon before they're all gone. If you want to check out Logitech's new flagship....go here:

  • Noooo, I can't believe they're getting rid of the best mouse :( it's one of the best mice I ever used from Logitech, why they just don't fix the problem instead of discontinuing a perfect gaming mouse???

I really don't want to go back to wireless, it sucks no matter how good they make it, there is always a slite loss of data and an occasional drop of wireless connection. I never had that with the G9x.

Thanks cyber, I'm gonna try to go and grab one before they run out.

  • I'm going to make an aftermarket replacement for the G9x. Making it out of metal with a new tighter/stronger spring. I hate over scrolling all the time.
