  • From last night's games I noticed something and will offer another tip. Stay low to the ground and not high in the air. You're easy pickings up there against the sky. The mighty {§ÎR}$pøøñ used to do this and he was the best at. It will work on most players, but not for me. You're better off low to the ground.

My strategy against you was to stay low as always and destroy bots like there were no tomorrow. I don't have to look for you guys.....cause you always come up on my six. While you lay down your fire on me, I'm bleeding your precious ammo and pick up on the average of 3 bots before I make my move to turn around on you. If I come out on top.....that's perfect, if you get the best of me, you still traded me 3 for 1. I love those stats. Notice, 90% of the time, I'm retreating taking the defensive position. It's worked for me so far. The downside to it, other players gain too much confidence since I'm never pressuring them.

  • I like the tips man, I'm always trying to improve. I have improved greatly over the last couple of years playing on this server. So much so the man that originally got me into UT wont even play me anymore! Lol. I just regret it took me so long to get on the website. Thanks again, I for one am eager for any other pearls of wisdom you deem fit.

  • Some players may get discouraged when they go toe to toe with the Zark Elite. I want to try and clear up a myth about skill level. Lets say I beat someone 50 to 25. Does that mean I'm twice as good as the other player? Not even close....player 2 may be only a nanosecond slower, but if player 1 is very consistant....less than a second is all he needs. Theoretically, no. 1 in the world can beat no. 2 in the world 50 - 0. FLAWLESS VICTORY! Consistancy is the key in pulling ahead of the group. That and not getting killed during a game.

  • I just spectated Power and Firehawk duking it out on the POL. Before the match, I knew that Power would win over Firehawk. Fire....you have a huge flaw to your game my friend....fix it and you'll be the man to beat.

Flaw: You start off every game quite well....most of the time you take an early lead and start to pull away.......then all of a sudden (like always) you run away and hide where you slowly peek around corners and try to snipe the human players when there's all kinds of bots around you for the easy pickin. Everyone else is out in the open shooting bots super fast and pass you up like you were standing still....oh yeah that's right...you were standing still. Camping does not work against elite players like Power. Keep moving through the entire match and see your score soar! Trust me Obi Wan Kenobi.....cyber is your only hope. LOL

  • I was spectating tonight and have a nice tip. I've noticed a lot of players going high and shooting downward. The man lower to the ground has the advantage. He can use the terrain and obstacles for protection against gunfire. The higher you go, the more visible you become and the higher your death count will be. Even when you trans, try to parallel the ground no more than a virtual 10 ft. Back when Zark was first introduced, this was the standard. If you do find yourself in the air shooting down on a player and he sees you, the normal routine for the ground player is to strafe back and forth while laying down a ton of fire toward your position. If I'm in the air....I immediately trans away and come back at a lower flanking angle. 1 on 1 and face to face is never a great idea....the odds are about 50%. I only engage at 80% and above. Give it a try and give me some feedback.

    Thanks,

    cyber

  • Those are some names I haven't heard in forever! :) You can run into rooms blindly, as long as you make yourself a hard target the entire time.
